Virtual leisure content that recharges burnout

Burnout Syndrome

Burnout Syndrome, in Chinese ExhaustIt is called (焼盡). There is currently no generally valid and internationally agreed definition of burnout syndrome. However, it is a collective term for symptoms of feeling extreme physical/mental fatigue while taking on a certain job and losing the passion and sense of achievement from the job. You might think of it as mental exhaustion or exhaustion.

leisure life

Preventing burnout is important. Recharging a tired body and mind is an essential element to live the rest of your life. There are times when even machines need to rest to prevent overheating, so people will be more desperate for rest. What we can do to reduce stress and gain the strength to live is a leisure life that includes exercise.

Leisure or leisure is time spent outside of occupational work or essential household activities, so meal and sleeping time, company work and school homework cannot be leisure.

It is also called free time instead of leisure, and what to do with free time depends on the individual's choice. As such, the exercise introduced in the burnout prevention method can belong to leisure life. Today, I would like to introduce six XR contents that you can enjoy or help with your leisure life.

Leisure Life and XR Content

1. Real VR Fishing

It is a VR fishing game produced by Korea's MIRAGESOFT, where you can sit in the scenery and just relax, or enjoy fishing with up to 4 users in multiplayer mode. It provides a realistic fishing experience and enables a more realistic experience by ending the UI that helps the user's game.

2.Plaicise

Created by Plaifit UG in Bavaria, Germany, it is an AR application that allows you to enjoy high-intensity interval workouts. The camera detects the movement of a person and uses it as a controller for the game. You can enjoy a variety of sports, and you can play alone or with friends online. Use tablets and smartphones.

3. Zombies, Run!

Produced by Six to Start in the UK, it is a fitness game application that uses game scenarios and AR-based location information to deal with zombie outbreaks that often appear in movies. In addition to zombies, you must prepare for threats such as aliens and dinosaurs according to periodically changing events. It has been in service for 8 years since its launch.

4.geocaching

Geocaching aims to be the biggest treasure hunt game in the world. Produced by Groundspeak in the US, the application is literally a treasure hunt in which you use a GPS receiver or other navigation device to hide or find a device called a geocache or cache.

A regular cache is contained in a small, watertight box, accompanied by a logbook, a guest book written by players. It is to find a cache using a hint visible through AR technology and a GPS direction indicator, leave a guest book, hide the found cache again, and then leave to find another cache.

5. zwift

Zwift is a massively multiplayer cycling and running training program that allows users to interact, train and compete with other users in a virtual world. You can run on mountains, uphills, and downhills around the world, including the United States and the United Kingdom.

Although the HMD was not used separately, the user's avatar was created in a virtual space through sensors and hardware connected to the bicycle. And the avatar in the virtual space and the user's movements are synchronized and played like a game.

The first seven days are free, but after that you'll have to pay a monthly subscription of $14.99 to play. It is already well known in Korea, and a cycling competition using Zwift was held.

6. Nature Treks: Together

It is a VR experience program created by greenergames, where you can explore tropical beaches, underwater oceans, or day and night forests and see the stars. You can discover more than 60 different animals, control the weather in virtual space, control the time of day, or create and shape the world you want.

In this virtual space that aims for a world of peace, quiet and relaxation, you can play with other users, draw with your fingers, or enjoy a fantastic break while swimming around the world.

concluding remarks

We all need leisure and rest. There are times when I stop for a moment while walking down the street and sit on a bench to straighten my feet, and there are times when I look at the world beyond my shoes without thinking about anything for a while. And leisure is, after all, an activity that makes oneself. Whether virtual or real, it would be nice to have time to look back on yourself at least once.
